What is Newark and Sherwood CAN?

Newark and Sherwood CAN was established through consultation with community and voluntary organisations operating and working in the district. Newark and Sherwood CAN provides a forum in which organisations can:

  •  share information and expertise;

  •  provide mutual support;

  •  identify the needs of the community and voluntary sector;

  •  strengthen links between themselves and the statutory sector;

  •  influence local decision-making; and

  •  share resources.

Newark & Sherwood CAN is a working group feeding into Newark & Sherwood Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) and is represented on its Board.
